In fact, we do not focus much on stories in platform games But Sega has always wanted to present a good story in Sonic games, and we do not think that they presented that here, as the interest in the story and the way it is presented is very weak and with scenes that are often not enthusiastic, and you will not find yourself interested in knowing the events more than you want to advance the game to finish it only.

Let’s talk about the graphics aspect of the game, well, when you run the game in the PlayStation 5 version, it automatically works with the 4K option and the speed of 30 frames, and at that time we noticed a modest performance at the speed of the game, which had an effect even on control and gameplay, so the option was to play at 60 frames and the raised resolution, and the strange thing here is that we did not notice any An effect on the level of graphics, as if the 4K was worthless, but the speed and operation of the game became perfect, as if it were another game compared to the previous graphical phase, the game as a whole from the visual side is not distinctive, the world is mostly empty and this is due to the story of the game with the presence of various technical problems from the disappearance of things and their appearance to the strange expressions of the characters In some scenes, the level of graphics in general is not good in this game and it needed a lot of polishing.

Also, at the level of acoustics, the music in this game is very strange, it is completely far from the atmosphere of the music of the usual Sonic games, but that is not the problem here, some melodies are good but the way they are used inside the game is not good, an enthusiastic scene with a boss killer with whom you get normal music and another scene with strong music and some the melodies are not good at all and enter the range of being annoying. The voice acting of the characters is also not very efficient in this game. In fact, we did not like the voice of the Sonic character in the game or Dr. Eggman, and the dialogues were weak in the voices of the characters and did not add to us a good image of these characters and their usual style that We know about her.

The Sonic Frontiers game presents with it a new adventure for Sonic that is a mixture between the new and the old. The main idea of ​​the game is to roam a semi-open world where you visit 5 different parts in which you complete tasks to obtain keys that allow you to go through moments from past Sonic games to collect keys and in turn collect crystals to reach For the Super Sonic character and facing the giant bosses and at the same time saving your friends who have turned this world into holograms, exploring the game world is the fun element in it, and we liked very much controlling Sonic in this open world, but the second problem comes with repeating the tasks that you must do to show everything on the map and collect things To advance, Sonic now has a combat system here instead of jumping and dashing to “pounce” on enemies only, but he often relies on one button, even with learning the different skills to play and fight. Developing Sonic’s abilities and skills by collecting some creatures and handing them over to whoever is looking for them.

You explore the game world and complete missions, and with it you enter the stages of the classic Sonic games and go through them to accomplish the goals in them and get the keys, but unfortunately the control of the old stages that are reused in more than one game now is not ideal and you will lose your life a lot because of the errors of control and the camera at times and it seems that the defects of the old games return Again with this experience, the exploration aspect is the most fun in this game and we found ourself spending most of the time in it despite the repetition of tasks and here is the point that we do not understand much from the development team, as long as you introduced something new and it works well, it was better to refine it and build the whole game on it instead of building the game In this way, which gives us the impression of a weak budget for production and the team’s desire to quickly release the game to keep pace with the holiday season.

The game offers 5 islands for exploration, but the second half of the game is almost a repetition of the first island, and actually the exploration is in the first three parts only, and there is a confrontation with giant bosses, but the fighting is often cinematic and using only one idea to overcome it, the story phase may take the player about 12-15 hours from the game and to get everything in the game, the 20-hour number may be sufficient to achieve this. The game does not offer group play phases, and after completing the game, players can re-try the classic stages again to improve the numbers in them.

Sonic Frontiers presents with it some good ideas that can be built upon to provide good Sonic gaming experiences, but there are a lot of things that need to be improved and polished in this game to be better classified and described as the game that will really lead character games for the coming years, as long as the development team decides to provide a different experience It would have been better for him to take it to a greater extent with all the elements of the game than to re-consume old ideas again and in a not good way.
