Best Water-Cooling Systems The Best Two-Section CBO
SHARE

Due to the increased number of fans and dimensions, two-section air coolers are more efficient than single-section counterparts. As a rule, these are 240- and 280-mm modifications. Suitable for processors with 4-6 cores in overclocking and 8 cores without overclocking. The heat dissipation of such models is on average from 200 to 250 watts.

Deepcool GAMMAXX L240 V2

The Deepcool GAMMAXX L240 V2 model replenishes the rating of water-cooling systems. It’s definitely a good value for the price. Due to aggressive marketing policy, buyers purchase this system with high requirements. The product is of high quality, braided hoses with a quiet, almost silent pump at high speeds and a complete absence of noise if the system is idle. The declared TDP does not correspond to reality, in fact the owner will have 150-160 W of heat dissipation. Brackets for AM4 do not provide full pressure to the processor cover.

If the pump is quiet, then the fans turned out to be noisy and they are often changed to Aerocool. The hoses, despite being 310 mm long, may not be long enough for large enclosures. And finally, the weight. 1.2 kilograms is a fairly large mass compared to competitors.

ID-COOLING FROSTFLOW X 240

A controversial product from ID-COOLING. Schematically, this is a fairly standard system. The water block, in addition to the heat-removing plate, pump and decorative cover, is equipped with a simple ring illumination. The overall flexibility of the system is due not only to the tubes, but also to the swivel fittings. A 31 cm cable with a 3-pin plug is used to connect the pump and the backlight. If all the ports on the board are occupied, then, as an alternative, you can use an adapter from 3-pin to SATA.

As with all maintenance-free liquid cooling systems, there is no filler hole. There are questions and bolts that do not need to be screwed up to the stop, so as not to strip the thread. The speed of the turntables ranges from 800 to 1800 rpm, producing an airflow of 74.5 CFM. Despite the high speed, the system does not vibrate at high speeds thanks to the rubber pads. The copper sole of the water block is carefully polished, coupled with the optimal clamping of the screws, this ensures an even distribution of thermal paste over the entire area of the cooling element. In total, ID-COOLING FROSTFLOW X 240 removes up to 250 W of heat.

NZXT Kraken X53

Before us is the youngest representative of the line of NZXT liquid cooling systems, in a classic, 240-mm layout. X53 differs from its competitors by very long hoses, each 40 cm long. 13 cooling circulation channels perfectly cool the liquid, effectively reducing the operating temperatures of the processors. The X53 owes its high cost to the swivel water block, RGB lighting and mirror, which together create an infinity-shaped reflection. The smooth swivel mechanism of the fittings allows them to be laid in an almost horizontal position and optimize the internal space of the case.

Another design feature of the CBO is the rounded sole of the water block with a perfectly even surface. NZXT proprietary fans are programmed for a wide operating range from 500 to 2000 rpm. Each of them is guaranteed to work up to 6 years with a resource of 60,000 hours. Advanced control of the X53 is provided by the NZXT CAM software. An intuitive, fully Russified interface will become an indispensable assistant when working, because in addition to the GPU monitor, the utility shows the CPU load, monitors the Internet connection and the amount of free memory on the drives.

Fractal Design Celsius S24

The cooling system for the Fractal Design Celsius processor has a high fan speed range – from 500 to 2000 rpm. There is no backlight, but the operating time of the pump and fans to failure is 100,000 hours. A 5-year warranty provides service repair of the system and manufacturer support. The water block is made of copper, the sound-absorbing housing reduces the noise level of the pump by up to 20 dB.

The aluminum radiator turned out to be light and reliable at the same time. The power connector in the Fractal Design Celsius S24 is a 4-pin cable. The fan speed is controlled automatically. The length of the tubes included in the design is 400 mm. All this, together with ease of installation, made Fractal Design Celsius S24 blackout one of the best representatives of the market.

NZXT Kraken X63

The best two-section model of the cooling system of 2022, according to the editors. Cooling is provided by 2 140mm branded and quiet fans with an increased service life. The pump swivel feature makes the Kraken X63 mobile and easy to install in most housings. The copper surface is perfectly ground and ensures full contact with the processor cover. We do not recommend installing it on top and pre-top processors during overclocking. Ryzen 5600X, i7-10700/11700K without overclocking – enough to keep the system running almost to the edge.

A big plus is not only automatic, but also software control of fans using proprietary software. Many users prefer the standard 500 to 1800 rpm range and spend more time adjusting the backlight.
