Single-section cooling systems are represented by models with a layout of 120 and 140 mm. They are purchased in compact and quiet computers with 4, 6-core processors without overclocking. The approximate efficiency of heat dissipation of such models ranges from 140-200 watts.
ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 120
Opens the Top 15 liquid cooling systems for the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 120 processor. The dream of many fans is to pack their budget system without overclocking into maximum cooling. There is no backlight here, but the waterblock has additional mini-fans for additional cooling. It is also important that the hoses do not exit from the side, but from above, which does not interfere with the installation of RAM and does not reduce the circulation of fluid from kinks. Easy installation coupled with an impressive bundle makes the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 120 a good cooling system for inexpensive PCs. Pleased with the presence of thermal paste MX-4, which is enough for the first six months of use.
Customers love the low noise level of 23dB, the hydrodynamic fan bearing and the 350mm hose length for added comfort during installation.
Cooler Master Master Liquid Maker 92
Another good CBO, with a universal board for Intel and complete thermal paste. The radiator is equipped with Cooler Master Master Fan Pro fans with an operating range of 550–2600 rpm, a noise level of 30 dB and an approximate TDP of 140 W. The appearance of the system seems interesting. The usual water block is absent, outwardly the Maker 92 looks like a hypertrophied air “tower”. In fact, the liquid circuit is located directly under the radiator, while the system itself can be placed vertically or horizontally. With a vertical orientation, the user will be able to dismantle the top cooler, slightly reducing the height of the structure. The convenience of the vertical layout significantly increases the near-socket space, improving access to RAM and cooler connectors.
The water-cooling system is of a closed type and is not serviced. We do not recommend using it in top systems during overclocking, it is not designed for this. Its place is in compact and quiet system units. It is worth paying tribute to the sole. It is completely copper, milled and almost perfectly smooth. The strict design of the Maker 92 is complemented by an illuminated white logo.
Alphacool Eisbaer 140
Another compact solution is offered by Alphacool. Eisbaer 140 is a maintenance free water-cooling system with two 140mm fans. They are fixed on both sides of the water block; the blades are equipped with threaded channels to enhance the air flow. The constant speed of each fan is set at 1100 rpm, which is an acceptable value in the presence of a plain bearing. The Alphacool DC-LT pump runs on a ceramic bearing, spinning up to 2600 rpm and pumping about 70 liters of liquid per hour, easily coping with heat generation up to 140 watts.
The hose length of 320 mm is quite enough when installed in a micromini-ATX and even Standard-ATX case. Execution material – corrugated PVC. The base, like all budget systems, is made of copper. Not to say that it is smooth, but its grinding is enough so that the water block does not “move out” during installation. The built-in indicator of the filling level of the circuit will facilitate maintenance, the owner will be able to charge the refrigerant as needed.
ID-COOLING AURAFLOW X 120
Another cooling system for the processor with a small single-section heatsink. CBO is characterized by a simplified design, consisting of a radiator with a pump and a fan, both in a collapsible form. The treasury of pluses should include a voluminous set of screws and fasteners for installation on AMD and Intel sockets. Thermal interface and backplate will be a nice addition to the main details. The radiator has the classic width and length parameters of 120×154 mm, but is characterized by a thickness reduced to 27 mm. With a decrease in dimensions, the complexity of installation also decreases, including small-sized cases.
The speed of the fans (800-1800 rpm) and the pump (2600 rpm) are well balanced, with the pump running at a constant speed and not adjustable. These values determined effective heat dissipation up to 200W. Separately, we want to note the non-standard lighting system for the water block, made according to the “comet tail” principle.
Deepcool GAMMAXX L120T
The best low-cost water-cooling system we recommend would be the Deepcool GAMMAXX L120T. There are two types of illumination to choose from: red and blue. The dimensions of the fan and radiator are 120 mm, which guarantees heat dissipation up to 250 watts. Thanks to Deepcool’s proprietary fluid dynamic bearing fans, there is an average noise level of 30 dB at 1800 rpm. The fan blades have channels that create an increased air flow.
The package includes a lot of bolts and several types of fasteners for AMD and Intel sockets. According to customer reviews, the system is easy to install in the case, it does not make much noise and is easy to maintain. Suitable only for cooling the processor, cooling video cards is excluded.
